Peter  describes himself as someone who will always be useful to make a difference in the lives of other people and to be as enthusiastic about the success of others as he is of own.

Biography: Peter's originally from South Africa and has resided in Sydney since 1970. He served an apprenticeship as a Panel Beater before arriving in Sydney.
He attended night Welding classes in Durban and became proficient in the  Eletrical Arc Welding process, as it had always been of interest.

Once he arrived in Sydney he attended Ultimo Tafe two nights per week for two years to get Australian DIR Welding Qualifications.
He acquired both the AWI and DIR Welding Supervisor Certificates,
and the ASME 9 Certification to construct pressure vessels.
All this while he worked as a Panel Beater duriing the day and as a PT cleaner on the other three night per week, so as to save money to buy a car.

By the early 70's he operated a successful Smash Repair business in St Peters. He states "When the weather was good business was bad when the weather was good business was bad"

During the 80's he operated a Metal Fabrication business in Botany employing a staff of seven. That's when "the recession we had to have" struck and he sold the business to an acquaintance.

At Qantas he worked as a Sheet Metal worker at the Mascot base for around three years.

He then moved on to Garden Island dockyard where he worked for the Royal Australian Navy as a Special Duty Welder maintaining and refurbishing Destroyers and Submarines.
During this time he was promoted to Acting Foreman/Special Duty Welder.

At St George Tafe Kogarah he taught Welding and Boilermaking for many years. He obtained the Diploma in Adult Education.

In recent years he has been employed in the Job Network industry where he was involved in placing Very Long Term Unemployed people into sustainable jobs. His positions were both Employment Consultant and Trainer. He eventually was promoted to Team Leader at Mission Australia's Liverpool office.

Peter's a member of NSAA and became interested in public speaking on a dare to speak at the Domaine one Sunday afternoon, some years ago. He's an experienced and polished presenter.

He is also an accomplished Songwriter/Singer.
